Ooh sounds fun
I had a bizarre dream last night that all of us on this thread met up and were roaming round Goan's house (which was some enormous mansion). Very odd!
I think we should definately have a meet-up sometime. Dunno about a mansion, looks impressive from the outside and like a junkshop inside.

That's an odd coincidence, I had a dream I met with the people from the debate forum last night.....it was unexpected...by m anyway, and a bit scary.0 -
Oh crumbs, I'm far too shy for that0

Believe it or not I am really shy and quiet in real life
though once I get over that initial awkwardness I don't shut up0 -

My problem with a meet up would be time...getting cover for animals here. And transport now: I have dh's old landrover only and it takes ages to get anywhere. I can get a car as soon as I make a decision about what I want...I hate cars. I think I want one of the old discontinued smart sports cars, but not sure. I'd really like a long range electric vehicle but don't think I can wait till there are some in UK, and then prices drop (I want a tesla, dh wants an apterra:o). I know nothing about cars so the potential for it to all go wrong is massive.0 -
Don't worry I'd probably do enough talking to make up for any shyness.
Mind you, don't know whether you'd understand my Ozzie Osborne accent.0 -
Argh, does anyone here know anything about cookery books? I want to get one for a friend for her birthday - she can't bear the word "foody" but she completely is one and loves food, loves trying new recipes etc. I have a shortlist, mainly Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and various Italian ones, as I know that's what she likes but I can't decide!0
