Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely Mummies!
I was up early for the boot sale - not as exciting as the jumble sale yesterday but I still founds a few bits:
Sheer Primark kaftan in swirly purples - 50p
Breton striped Next top with big bow at the front - £1
Black boyfriend jacket from Primark - same style as my pink one - £1
Toy cash register - 50p
While I was out Gary and Dylan made me a lovely card and a bacon sarnie, and we just went out for a gorgeous carvery lunch and had pudding too, even better it was a mystery shop so only had to pay £8 extra and even, even better they were giving all the mums today a free bottle of wine to take home!
PF and DB, hope you're feeling happier now, I expect I'll be having the same crisis tomorow but mine will probably be down the the insane amount I ate just now, I can't resist a Sunday lunch! Thankfully I have a wardrobe full of floaty forgiving tunics lol!
Also have done the fist dig of the year on our veggie patch, all three of us were out there getting muddy and working up an appetite, nothing like a bit of fresh air is there?0 -
Sounds like a lovely day Vicki
perfect weather for being outside too; it's actually warmer outside that it is inside our house, as dad has decided the heating is off for the year now!
(I think this affected how I felt this morning as I got even less sleep!)0 -
DB, when I was at home my parents were really stingy about the heating and it was soooo cold, to warm up I used to get under my duvet and bring the hairdryer under too and heat my nest up
Probably not advisable and I expect it cost more than a little bit of heating.
Can you get a fan heater or plug in oil rad so you can heat just your room?0 -
Yes, I think a little fan heater might be a good idea...we used to have one actually, so will ask Mum about it,
and if not then I will look in the factory outlet shop we have in town after the doctors tomorrow, as they sell a lot of stuff like that
at least being in the kitchen later will keep me warm!0 -
Retro - sorry to hear about your uncle - big hugs coming your way:grouphug:
OH has gone to visit his Mam, DS's are out playing, hmmmm would it be really wrong of me to open the bottle of wine they gave me for Mother Day - after all it is my day
