Thats what I do, I'm not good in heels but I wear high(ish) boots and chunky or wedge heels, the wedges I have on today ate 3 1/2 inches high - I dont think I would make it on 3 1/2 inch stilettoes! You can stand there and agonize........

Morning ladies, how are we all today?
MIssed the gardening chat last night, but for anyone who has limited space but wants to have a go, Home Bargains have some plants in a bag - basically everything you need in the one bag. I got the cherry tomato pack so I'll be giving those a go in our utility room, and all for the bargain price of 1.99.
One of the things I like to do is with clothes, especially jackets, coats and knitwear is to change the buttons, or add them as decoration, but they can be quite expensive unless you can pick them up at charity shops, either on their own or attached to a particularly horrible item of clothing.
Anyway, yesterday when I was looking, unsuccessfully, for some big colourful buttons I had the idea of making my own. So I've bought a multipack of Fimo, lots of lovely bright colours, and I'll let you know how it goes.
Today, I felt a 70s mood coming on so am wearing:
loose fit butterfly tshirt
thin purple velvet fringed scarf (25p from New Look sale a while back)
dark blue flared jeans
and a pair of high brown suede clogs that I bought in the Scholl sale about three years ago that look very much like the current Chanel ones, except these ones have a rose pattern carved on the wooden heel.
Hope you all have a good day!0 -
daisybella, thanks. I do love accessories and have some, but just too lazy to wear them
I used to go mad over earrings, but these days might just pop on a special pair now and then... I love rings too, but hate the feeling of having things on my fingers, so even my wedding band and engagement ring come off once I get home
I think I need to organise my stuff more, right now they are kind of all over the place and sometimes when I do feel like wearing something, I have no idea where it is! :rotfl:
jtb I know what you mean abt choosing fashion over comfort but I think the option is out for me this time round as the dress is short and my legs look terribly pale and have patches of dry winter skin all over  can't bring myself to wear one of those special tights with no toes meant for strappy shoes though...
I do love colours, I'm an artist ( I know, ironic isn't it?) love photography, painting, drawings, sculptures so colours excite me, just not sure abt wearing much of them?probably a professional habit to disappear into the crowds as a photographer
I do have the odd splash of colour in my wardrobe, teal skirt, maroon top and floor length skirt (too formal for this sat, shame) , red cardi and t shirts, a new second hand green cropped cardi from next (which is quite quirky and I love, just waiting for spring to wear it).. err.. errr... a grey tunic top I wear a lot, does grey count as colour?oh I do have a few tunic/long shirts I wear with trousers for work that are non black too :rotfl: but black is my fav colour
right now I'm sitting here in my PJs and blue woolly socks and a deep ultra marine blue fluffy stegosaurus hot water bottle stuffed in my mocca coloured fleece. about to put on fingerless gloves so I can carry on working and not have to tuck my hands under Stella (the stegosaurus) every few mins :rotfl: I love work at home days, though working elsewhere is usually warmer!0 -
Don't tell me I need more boots ! hahahah ... I have got some wedges so I think I'll start with them and see how I go. My grey patent 2" that I had on the other night when we went for our meal, are great ! Very comfy and I can walk in them fine. Anything over 2" though and I probably look like I'm half-cut !
judgejaq, your outfit sounds lovely ! I think you need to set up a blog.

ETa you can train your feet to wear heels again, I dont wear many now they arent practical for me duirng the day but I do when I go for a night out...try wearing them round the house/ garden (not to do the gardening but you know what I mean) as it will feel very odd the first time you put them back on
Oh that's annoying! I quite often get this random thing when I close down a blog page and it reopens about 100 versions of the same page and completely kills the laptop
Re the heels thing - I wear them to work which works quite well. Short walk from the car to the office and then I'm mostly sitting down all day and only walking in them for short bursts! I'm sure I've read somewhere that doing the supermarket shopping in new heels is a good way to break them in as you've got the trolley to clutch onto for support0 -
siaoeh - 2 words, fake tan ! heheh It does take a bit of practice but does cover up a multitude of sins (my legs are like casper the ghost, being a redhead, I have very pale skin and fake tan is my saviour during the summer months).
How lovely that you're an artist ! I wish I was more creative, my 10yr old can paint better than me.
Ohhhhhh I like that idea Alex re: supermarket trolley! DH will wonder what the heck is going on next time we do the tesco-run, me in my posh gear and high heels
It was really funny yesterday, he came home from work (been out overnight at a monthly meeting), walked in the door and started looking at my outfit. He was trying to say something nice but couldn't think of what to say, he wasn't sure if it was fashionable or just me being quirky and kept looking at DD for guidance. There were lots of um's and oh's and ah's and in the end all he said was 'that's different' !!! :rotfl: You've gotta love 'em haven't you? :rotfl: He did say he liked it though so I guess that's something:jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j0 -
retro, I go through spells of wearing heels. I've found that gel cushions help with comfort and sometimes fit, but you might not need them if you're not in the habit of walking several miles a day. I always wear a pair of footies under my tights too as it seems to stop shoes rubbing.
Today's outfit:
Grey zig-zag pattern tights (Asda)
Black self-stripe dancer skirt (La Redoute)
Black skull-pattern devore t-shirt, foil print worn off (Peacocks)

Looks like I have another freezing afternoon ahead as heating has been turned off again...so ready for my Dad to go back to work.
Think when I go to Tesco I will drop by costa and get a pot of tea and enjoy the warmth there for a while0 -
Oh, I forgot to do an outfit post. Not that it's very interesting today but hey ho:
Indigo skinnies
White vest
Navy and white check flannel shirt (so cosy!)
Navy canvas trainers with the laces taken out
And a random mixture of silver and pearl jewellery0 -
EEEEEEE! I'm so excited girlies, I just took delivery of this dress:
EDIT: Linked as the pic is huge!
from the lovely Boonma of iamroses. Delivery from Thailand was so quick and she even put a pair of earrings into the package. Divine! She has some gorgeous hippy-ish maxi dresses for sale, do check them out. I love her clothes. Definitely will buy again, the dress is much thicker cotton than I thought and has a lovely silk finish, almost a sateen. OMG I sound like an advert! I am not affiliated, I swear.
Can't wait to wear this! ROLL ON SUMMER! :T:T"All cruelty springs from weakness" - Lucius Annaeus SenecaPersonal pronouns are they/them/their, please.
