That sounds fun Alex, boo to the gardeners for stealing your plot. Mmm Love rhubarb, I'd like to grow some but a bit worried about the leaves being toxic. I wasn't really impressed with the potatoes I grew, it was novel but the taste wasn't much better/fresher, but the runner bean, OMG there is nothing like a young stringless runner freshly picked and cooked straight away.

Retro, I'm going to get one of those plastic greenhouses this year, how did you find them? Love your veggie pics too, I can tell we're going to have to rename the thread, "fashion, gardening, cats and baking" soon!

Gosh, I disappear for a day and there is pages and pages of chat to catch up on!

Just been looking at the republic website(damn whoever mentioned it!lol), so many pretty things! My favourite has to be this

Daisy, how about trying making some soups at home. Roast vegetable soup is lovely, as is tomato and pepper. Maybe as you start getting abit more comfortable you could start adding things like noodles/small amount of pasta etc to them?

re. bras, I am quite lucky being a small common size, though I do find that all the nice ones in my size seem to have sold out!

Does being 5ft 5 make me small? I have always felt little compared to my friends!

Welcome all newbies, can't remember who said about practical work clothing(sorry!) but I work in the construction industry and occasionally have 'practical days' such as today. I wore

    Wide legged grey trousers, Primark
Blue long sleeved cotton top, Primark
    White long sleeved top(underneath), H&M
    Black lace edged waistcoat, Primark
Black pumps, Matalan(changed for steel toe caps when on site)
    Leaf detail necklace, Matalan

Just about to update my blog and catch up on others. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Mmmm, my parents did Asparagus one year, really nice, in fact just had asparagus risotto for dinner, not a light as I'd intended but the parmesan was winking at me.

they are good you need to put them in a sunny spot though, the only problem I found was the shelves are really close together so so only really small plants can be put in there, good for starting stuff off though. Im going to get one of the big plastic walk in ones this year as my fruit plant got eaten by bugs so I could stand them in there instead.
