I am so desperate for sugar todayI bought a packet of Tic Tacs before and ate the whole thing in two mouthfuls. Naughty because I shouldn't be eating sweets but very good progress really - this time last year I would have eaten a whole giant packet of sweets!
Excellent news about the calendar!
Alex, I schedule in some chocolate once a month or so (I'm not regular). I just find it helps stay otherwise on track and sane.
edit: my chocolate of choice is a low sugar praline from Hotel chocolate.0 -
Just realised I actually forgot to put the link in my last post.
I found this on BooHoo. I think its lovely but I have no idea how I would wear it

I was going to buy the same one but in grey & black (but it sold out). It looks nice.
I'm not as fashionable as everyone else but i would wear thick tights/leggings and a long cardi (i have a dark grey one from h&m that seems to go with everything)
And boots.0 -
Hmm low cal? Lots of things are low cal but I don't know what to suggest. Me thinking sensibly would be trying to cram as many nutrients as possible into your food, but without knowing specifically what makes something acceptable to you as you are now it's hard to suggest anything much.
If you are into soups, a way of making chicken and sweetcorn more nutritious is to drop a beaten egg into it while it's hot and stir it through so the heat of the soup cooks it. I love this, especially with a dash of soy sauce.
I look forward to hearing how the veg growing is going too, Dylan has shown so much interest in eating what's out there, we grew one lonely but beautiful butternut squash last year too.0 -
I like the soup idea Vicki,
and squash...that is something I def want to grow!0 -
This is our tiny patch in the middle of last summer, we grew runner beans, peppers, loads of tomatoes, courgettes, butternut squash, celery, chili peppers, leeks (failed),aubergines (failed), potatos, more tomatoes in baskets and strawberries in baskets.
Going to be much more organised this year,we were late planting last yearas Gary was building the garden which was only finished around end April.

Oh wow Vicki, that looks great, and what a fab list of stuff to grow in such a compact space. We were lucky enough to have an allotment space at work a couple of years ago and it was brilliant fun. The gardeners have nabbed it back to recreate the Victorian walled garden space though, grr.
We got a bit carried away growing flowers in there as well but the onions, rhubarb and spuds did very well!0 -
Wow, I wish we had space even for a patch like yours Vicki!0
