isn't egypt largely a package holiday destination? is there really that much demand for a bog-standard complex apartments rented independently. with deals including flights (and meals/drinks etc) so cheap could you compete?
just a thought. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
if you are just buying it for yourself to use consider the following.
how often will you use it and for what length of time? how much do flights cost? compare this to deal including flight and accomm. how much will you actually 'save'. do you want to be tied to going to the same apartment year in year out.
if you are planning on using it for great swathes at a time (i.e. months) then it might work out well.
if you think you might just take a 2 week break there once or twice a year 15-25k might not be such a bargain. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
Buy one of these instead..

You will be certain you own it
It moves wherever you want to go
Its cheaper
You pay not community charge
The view always changesFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0 -

I can't think of anything less attractive that buying a leasehold apartment in a massive development like that in a country like that. Who knows what the service-charges might be in a few years time? Never mind feeling tied to take every single holiday there for the rest of your life.
Now, a tiny shack on a hilltop in mainland Greece or on Crete is a completely different story.....0 -
They look amazing but
1) I'd say about 15 miles/gal ie 2200 mile range, more than double any car not bad.
2) these things won't cost less than £150K
3) what happens when you get this £150K home stuck down a dark long bendy alpine
road, where you can't reverse.
4) you would have to run the air con constantly in the summer.
It takes 150 gallons imagine if you could do 55 miles/gallon, that would have been an 8250 mile range!!0 -
Beware lot's of Pyramid schemes/selling in Egypt0

Good points and it is why I would never buy in a block in the UK the service charge is unregulated.
But the Med is cold in the winter. the Red sea is lovely during this time.0 -
Curiously enough, the average house price in Egypt is just $30,000. That's Egypt, Arkansas, population 105, so it's well off the tourist beat.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
