Any benefits from being a o2 / PAYG customer?

I have a t-mobile contract, but used to be on o2 and had my old sim converted to PAYG a couple of years ago. Effectively I’ve been an o2 customer for about 8 years.

I now want an iPhone and am weighing up the o2/Vodafone/Orange options. But does anybody think that I might get any sort of benefit from already being an o2 customer?

Any input appreciated

Firstly no because you was an o2 Pay as you go customer, not a monthly one (not that their retention deals are great anyway, see the o2 retentions thread)

Secondly, its an iphone. You wont get any discount from the iphone because its apple who set the prices.

we've been on phone to t-mobile this morning and because we've had/got 2 mobile contracts and have paid on time all the time etc, we were told that when our contracts came up for renewal then we would be able to get the iphone for like £40 outright (i'm not sure what contract it would be on though as it was my OH who spoke to them)
  • Thanks. I'm on t-mobile but had ruled them out for the iPhone. I know they do them, but don't know what the method is for getting one.
