Just thought I'd pop on and give an update.
I've submitted the I&E and have since had several telephone conversations with various people at the office and have finally agreed on a date and time for someone from the "variations team" to contact me. Next Wednesday, 31st March, 6.30 p.m.
I understand they will go through my I&E with me and then let me know the timescale of how things will go forward and when they will go back to my creditors to put forward the full and final proposal.
Is there anything else I should have prepared for when they phone? (I was told the call could take up to an hour and a half, but surely not?)
    Thanks

    It could I suppose...

I would say it would probably be close to like the very first meeting you had with the IP or his staff when they went through all the paper work with you and had to confirm all your details! They'll still need to cofrim the details with you to be sure that this is in fact the best offer you could hope to put forward to your creditors...

I'm sure they'll let you know all the paper work you will need to provide, you can most likely confirm it verbally on the phone to them but some things might need to be verified with paper work after that.

It'll be fine though, good luck!

Well, had the phone call last night (lasted 10 mins!).
They are going to put together a report for the creditors, based on the I&E I submitted, and send to me to agree within the next 4 weeks. She didn't think they needed any more info from me.
Once I have agreed the report, they will arrange a creditors meeting (within the following 2 weeks). Hopefully the creditors will agree to the proposal and by the middle of May, everything should be sorted (finger's crossed!).
I'll let you know the outcome! Thanks x

Just thought I'd come back and update you as I haven't been on here for ages.
I can't believe I am still in the same situation I was 8 weeks ago and this hasn't moved forward at all - I seriously thought this would all have been sorted by now :(
The last I heard from my IVA company (4th May) was that they had managed to trace my husband and the report would be passed back for "technical review" (?). Then it had to be signed by our Supervisor before it would be sent to me (and ex husband) for approval.
Only then will a meeting be arranged for the variation be presented to our creditors.
So, as it hasn't even been sent out for authorisation yet, they obviously haven't set a date for the creditors meeting.
I have today e-mailed them again asking for an update - how long does it really take for the Supervisor to sign it off and for them to send it out for our approval? Should I be worried? It didn't take this long for everything to be sorted when we first entered into the IVA.

    :)

    Update

Sorry I've been away for so long, so much has happened over the last couple of months, the most important is that my son has been preparing for and doing his GCSE's. (Last one today, phew!)

I have received and returned the proposal which has been sent to the creditors. My ex has also received and returned his and the creditors meeting is scheduled for Monday 5th July!! What should I expect?

If you have put forward your best offer (and your IVA company will ensure that you have) then it should be ok... worst can happen is that it is rejected and you can try again. More likely is it will be accepted as is OR accepted with a modification. Try not to panic about it too much in the interim you can't do anything to affect it now so cross any of those bridges when you come to them!

(Grant me the strength to change the things I can, the serenity to accept the things I cannot change and the wisdom to know the difference!)

    Thanks Charco.
Will come back after the 5th and let you know how it went.
Fingers will be very definitely crossed in the meantime.
