Flip-Phone needed as present
Options
My partner has a Samsung E700 but it's getting old now and the camera refuses to work after the ribbon cable came loose. I opened the phone and sloted the ribbon cable back on but the camera refuses to work.....
So...........with her b-day coming up I'm on the lookout for the best P-a-G phone.
-It has to be a flip-phone (I find they break easily, but it wont be me using it)
-Camera
-Bluetooth
-Budget £100-£150
She has hinted about the Razr V3 - are these a good phone? Other people I've asked say there useless but won't actualy say whats useless about them
Anyone else have any ideas what I could get? I really want it to be a suprise so can't actualy ask her as I'm not sly enough!
Any opinions much appreciated.

My daughter has the V3 and Tesco instore are selling the older model at the moment, think its been superceded with V3i?, for about £90 with an offer of extra credit or something.
They had in stock a nice new pink design not has hot pink as the original.
oh and my daughter loves her phone and they can be unlocked at a shop or market.
Alternatively have a look on the Virgin website0 -
Thx for the swift reply. I found the Razr V3 for £95 online inc delivery, seems a good price - looked on ebay-pay-over-the-odds and its selling for £150 ish

She did coment on the bright pink one in town as we passed a shop with it in window but I'm not sure if she meant it looks cool but I wouldnt be seen dead with it or its cool and I want one........0 -
Well, from your description, the best value one I can find is the Motorola V3im, which is the razr with a 1.3mp camera, a memory card, and i-tunes built in. (the camera of the original V3 sucks to say the least!)
They are on offer at the Carphone Warehouse for £129.99, including £10 airtime.
Other contenders I can see, would be:
The Seimens EL71 at £139.99
The Motorola Pebl From £119.99
The Panasonic VS6 from £69.95
The Sony Ericsson Z530i from £79.95
Not a flip phone, but a very cute pink slide phone - the Nokia 6111 from £129.99
Then at John Lewis, you have The Samsung X660 at £89.95
Directly from T-Mobile, The Sony Ericsson W300i at £129.99
Directly from Orange, The 3g motorola E1070 at £129.99
And finanlly, Tesco Mobile have a very good deal on the Samsung E530 at £99.97 on their own network.
I hope this helps!
But as I say, if she's hinted at the v3 - I think the first one is the best option.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

The one in Tesco instore is not as bright a pink more a muted shade, this is the one my daughter has0 -
Sorry just checked my Tesco store online and the V3 is £99.97 showing as in stock in blue and silver but I do know that my local store has a pink one and there was some sort of offer on depending on how much you spent.
However you have a load of suggestions now...0 -

it will be the main ribbon that has broken inside (eps if it says preview error or shows white or jumbeled screen) - its very hard to change just the ribbon due to the amount of fine soldering reqd, much easier to change the screens complete.
you can get them for about £20 complete but the phone is prob worth £30 max when working0 -
I have a mate who has a v3 from work and he does nothing but moan about it.
The contact search is what winds him up most. Cant just put in
first 2 letters and it will go down. It will only auto search on the first letter.
Or something like that.
And i think the original model has no memory card ?????NURSE: "Shouldn't it be sterilized, doctor?"
DR. BENWAY: "Very likely but there's no time."0 -
Easy mobile has the V3 black and V3 blue for £79.94 including delivery when you buy £30.00 airtime.0

thx for all the suggestions.
Special thx to impy78 for showing me the carphone warehouse Razr V3 IM. It turned up this morning and the smile it gave my partner made it well worth every penny!
It was even better than expected, I didnt know it came with a 512MB transflash card
She can ditch her MP3 player (to me) and use her phone as it has loads more memory than her MP3 player. Sorted!:):)
