Orange mobile broadband query

Hi
I was thinking of signing up for the 30 day rolling contract for Orange mobile broadband. Dongle is £29 and then £15 a month. I have T mobile PAYG mobile broadband where you can buy the odd day here and there when you need it but there's no coverage in the area I need to travel to quite a lot over the next few months - Orange seem to be the only one that has coverage there and I do actually get quite a good signal with my Orange mobile phone whereas I don't with Tesco mobile. If I cancel after say a couple of months does that mean the dongle is then useless? This plan was the nearest I could see to PAYG with Orange for mobile broadband but I wouldn't fancy having to buy a new dongle if I wanted to use it say in March and April but then not till June.
