Have you done your appeal yet.. let us know how you get on.
I cannt believe some of the people who work there.. some obviously do a good job and others it looks like they dont do anything.. I'm not expecting every application to be aproved but at least be read and if not allowed the reasons to be valid ones!!!0 -

This is a very good site which gives some free advice regarding filling in DLA and Incapicity Forms. However if you become a member at a small cost you then get access to all their guides regarding how to word your forms when filling them out. The site is run my Lawyers and ex staff who want to help people fight the system. You also get access to other documentation which is very benificial and really does help you succeed in your claim/appeal process. xxxCompetitions wins 2010

when you decide to appeal... do you write a letter and just ask them to look at the application again, or, do you have to go into all the reasons like, you have stated that i am not eligible because... and then give the reason why you disagree ?0

I phoned them and said i wanted them to look at my case again. I'm now waiting to see my local DIAL to write a letter addressing their reasons not to award me anything.0

And another rejection! TBH was not 100 % certain whether son would qualify for low care rate but what I find unbelievable is that the one thing we stated my son currently didn't have an issue with(as in there was a large improvement-he has a fluctuating illness) -they decided he did, and the things we indicated were a current difficulty-they decided there was no problem at all. Try working that out!!
Going to ask them for a written explanation as to how they reached their decision before deciding on next step.0 -
I rang the DLA and asked them why they had rejected the claim and would they reconsider.. Somebody from the DLA rang my husband yesterday and said that they had had another look at his claim and they could see that his health wasnt good and that they would be incontact with his GP and then hopefully he would be accepted... will keep you informed how we get on!!!0

Hopefully they will give him the reward he deserves. Good Luck
I am waiting on the results of my first application. Unfortunately I had no help filling it in as the appointment made with the CAB was cancelled by them and they could not fit me in until a couple of weeks after the form needed to be sent back. I did use a guide which I got through the fibromyalgia forum.
I am getting worse on a daily basis & really need the HRM as the local authority will not issue a blue badge without it. I unfortunately cannot get one on other grounds as they only apply to drivers and not passengers:(
I meet the criteria for HRM & MRC but having read all about the rewards actually received I dont know what to expect.
On top of all this they think that the fibromyalgia may not be that at all, they think it may be Lupus:eek:0
