Oh also forgot to say- theres no plug sockets and we are doing it all on public transport.
the other sticking point is that OH has high cholestrol so we couldnt have anything like corned beef or any processed meat at all
Ive checked, and you cant drive onto the beach hut area, its little train only -adn I cant see Mr T carrying all those plastic boxes onto the little train
Looks like Im sending OH into the sea with a net on a stick to see what he can catch
Do sosmix sausages work on a bbq or do you reckon they just collapse? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
a lovely pudding to make on bbq is choccy bananas!
with rum or any other booze u like for the adults!
leave skin on banana, cut lenghtways to form a 'pocket' fill with choccy bits Buttons r good, add booze! wrap in tinfoil and put on bbq turn over regularly cook till choccy melted,
you can put these in the embers of a charcoal fire to cook. I add cream (clotted of course) to them after opening. also good as only spoons to wash up!
Kids say you can put marshmallows in them but too sweet for me!Member 1145 Sealed Pot Challenge No4

Is it Hengistbury Head (excuse spelling maybe)? You can catch the boat across, just 5 minutes, to Mudeford. They sell fresh fish daily (or used to when i was a gal) so fish barbies & salad.
Please can i come. I'll be real quiet. honest....another happy bug.........sorry,blogger embracing the simple life0 -
lynzpower - if OH has high cholesterol, I wouldn't recommend sosmix - it is high in hydrogenated veg oils, which is about the worst fat there is for cholesterol levels.0

So how was your holiday, lynnzpower? Which meals worked?0
-
Oooh hello again
Holiday was lovely
We had on day 1 - a cracking steak, 'chips' done on the bbq mushrooms & corn the best BBQ meal Ive ever had!
Day 2 ribs, HM burgers, corn, mushrooms & potato coins ( ribs werent great TBH, but the rest were good
3. Chicken & jackets ( jackets turned to complete dust in the fire, I bought tescos baby jackets and they ended up as burned little shells lol )
4. thursday, we just grazed on a few bits we had in ( there was a hob it turned out when we got there and an oven - which wasnt particularly powerful!)
5. meal at resturaunt, so that didnt count, it was pretty pricy, but as per usual, never as nice as what you can knock up ourselves!!!
As a tip. those bake you own/ bake at home baguettes and rolls crisp up really well on a BBQ, a brush of oil would probably help brown more evenly, but they were really good
