Hello everyone. I'm back, but this time I'm in the black. (I mean the regular bank account not the debt total ...)

My April starts today, I have £40 per week, and as there are 4 shopping weekends in April, that gives me £160.

However, I am getting individual flan rings this weekend, but I'm using some of the money I would have usually used at the hairdresser. This would have cost me £35 this month (just the roots, shampoo, blow dry) and the flan rings are going to cost me £12 for 4 ... I was going to use the rest to pay for something else too, but I can't remember what it was ... :undecided Anyway, I've decided to let my hair grow out and give my scalp a rest. It means a cap of grey, but I have eczema all along my hairline so something has to give.

EDIT: It's cat flea stuff I was going to get with the difference, at about £20, so I should have a bit of change for the savings pot.

A bit of spending spree in Morrisons yesterday leaves me with £74.07 to last until 02/04/10, which is when my month starts again. It would be nice to be left with £70, but I have a cake & soup to make yet so it depends on what ingredients I have left!

  • Got my online shop from Mr Ts today at a cost of £77.76. That brings this months total to £313. My month will finish on the 31st and I now have £7 left so hopefully that will get me through the last few days. Can you put me down for £320 again for April please :)
Back on the money saving wagon again!

Hi ,on to update my total and to give hugs to all with bereavements.

Ragz i always use whoopsies to base my meal plan around and it works fine for me.I buy at quarter price or less and list everything I put in the freezer then every couple of weeks I look at my list and make meals with what I have in but I dont allocate days to them so I have flexibilty if I'm busy.I'm nearly through my freezer supply, hopefully by the end of the month.I know I'm near the bottom cause I can see a layer of yellow labels that have fallen off the whoopsies:rotfl:

Today will be a bit of a spend day...but hopefully not as much as I feared yesterday.

Got out the newest HFW Everyday cook book and will be making the rabbit stew with tomatoes....we have everything for it already...except some thyme. I had some in the garden, but it didn't survive the winter. We will have dumplings with that (or dough-boys as I call them!)...yummm!

Making the most of DS2 being away this weekend as he didn't want to eat the rabbit and doesn't like stews. DS1 on the other hand loves both, so tea should be a hit...if he gets home from GF's in time that is!

The rain seems to have stopped (again) so will head out and take the soaked washing to re-spin it. I hope to get it out again before I head off to town. Need to get a new bra (been meaning to get one for AGES) and some black-out material for DS1's blind...the bit I have isn't big enough. Have my chiropractor later, then plan on popping into Aldi on my way home to stock up on veg and milk.

Have a great weekend everyone, hope it's not too soggy!

Mrs M, can I join in please? My first month! I have kept all receipts this month and reckon I can do £300 for two adults and four children - although youngest is only 2 months so really doesnt count!

    Thanks.
