Flea, I've found Betty Crocker "Frosting" in Asda. It looks like this one
I'm making the wedding cake ones with a "devils food" cake and chocolate icing and a white shell
Gremin, the wedding cake ones seem just as easy as the "ordinary" ones, but I got to squash the balls into ringsSealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

Check out this link that I have just come across for Cake Pops... http://www.bakerella.com/category/pops-bites/cake-pops/ like lollipops but made of cake. These would be great for a party etc. Hope you feel inspired.
Thanks for the link, I've added it to my favourites and definitely going to give them a try :T
Can we buy frosting in a tin and candy to melt over here?0 -
Sahra, the tin I posted earlier of Betty Crocker frosting you can buy in Asda (I think I've seen it in Chocolate, Chocolate Fudge, Vanilla and another flavour) and you can get Wilton melts from eBay for the coating

what type of chocolate is it? because if its brown, unless the pop you are making is brown, then you wont be able to colour it
candy melts just save you the time of having to colour white chocolate (however they arent as sickly as white chocolate either)

Have ordered cello bags, mini cutter and lolly sticks off ebay, but trying to look for alternatives to candy melts like everyone elseI would love to have a go at wedding favours for my mil this year. Really excited now !!
Looked on ebay and they're quite pricey !
