Best way of getting a bettr deal from Virgin??

Hi, just needing some advice please.....
I've just realised we've been with Virgin Media for just over 12 months now, and our monthly bill is always over £40 :eek:
Really want to cut this down as much as possible, and I'm wondering how to go about it? I've looked at TalkTalk, and I can get more for almost £15 less per month! This includes free Anytime calls (only get evening and weekend ones with VM), and much better broadband. We don't make many calls, but they seem to cost a lot with VM.
Do I switch to TalkTalk, or see what I can get out of VM? If I go down the route of trying to get a better deal, how would I do this (sorry if I sound stupid here). And what should I aim for?
