Tesco recycle cartridges for Clubcard points. You can get 100 points for each cartridge and they've now increased the limit to 100 cartridges per year, that's £100 in clubcard vouchers (it used to be 30 per year). See http://www.therecyclingfactory.com/tesco to check the list of cartridges eligible and request freepost envelopes, it's so easy0

I think the problem people are finding with Epson cartridges is that they're so cheap to buy ATM, that the re-sale value is 'nil' ! Ebay or just a green recycle bin sounds best.
However..
My problem is that I have large amounts of HP and Lexmark cartridges from work, but it's a mix of original and re-filled.
What these sites offer isn't simple.
I want to throw them all in one box and send away for credit or cash. Some sites charge for ones they don't want. Some need you to ring up and ask, some want you to download a form, then send it off !
There's huge value in cartridges and toners.. but at the moment I think the consumer is getting a raw deal. There has to be an easier, more profitable way to get rid of cartridges... aren't we all supposed to be turning green
As soon as a 'simple' site turns up .. we'll all be happy.. and maybe a little richer, money or concious wise !0 -
Thanks for all the info on this on here.
I sent 8 used carts in May to a recycling centre offering cash for them, but as yet I have not received any payment due. I then found this forum and I see that the scheme does work, but so far not in my case, sadly.
The website I used gave the prices and they came to £12.25. I have phoned them twice and emailed them about it. No reply to the email, but on the phone I was told that as the Post Office do not deliver to Freepost addresses on time, they usually wait until there are many to deliver, they hang on to them until it is good for them to make a delivery.
This has been given as a reason for the delay, in both of my phone calls to the company. What do you think? What can I do about getting the payment for my 8 used cartridges?
I hope you don't mind me asking. I am a bit miffed with being put off all this time.0 -
Hi there!
My office's printer has just blown up, and we have a store cupboard full of toner for it. Does anyone know any companies that would buy this back? I have thought about eBay, but it is blocked on my company's internet and I really don't want the hassle.
Many thanks in advance!0 -
Thanks for all your suggestions guys - we have now added this tip to the Boost Your Income guide: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/make-money#printer

Hi,
With reference to my post #54, I've just looked on the internet for that website which I talked about (but I'm not allowed to quote it here) and find that it is now removed. I know now that it was a fake and that I will never get the payment for my used inkjet cartridges. I see that there are many others there and when I have a few more cartridges to recycle then I will use one of them, as I will not be put off by that one bad example.0 -

I've seen questions about recycling Epson ink cartridges. As far as I can tell nowhere will offer money for them but if you just want to send them somewhere to be recycled rather than to landfill Epson have their own recycling scheme. They don't pay you but at least they can be recycled. They don't have all of their printers listed so chose the printer that is nearest to yours!
And as a new user I can't post a link. Ok go to Epson's site. Go to the site map. Select recycle ink cartridges and it should get you to the page I was trying to post.
Hope it helps!0 -
Does anyone know any places which will recycle non branded cartridges?
Im not so bothered about getting any money, but if it could lead to a charity donation that would be a bonus, otherwise just keeping them out of landfill is good.
Thanks0 -
