:o You should post on here more often Colin so I can identify the experienced, well-informed posters and separate them more easily from the numpties.
It's all the numpties that give me the headaches. I don't mind posting and helping people, but I am sick to death of the TW*t's in the world.0 -
Being sick to death of the tw*ts in the world could mean that it's too dangerous to ever leave the house!0

Fairly sure our council gives you a discount for having a second property that you are paying council tax on although I'm unsure of the amount - might be the 10% already mentioned here. It's worth ringing them and telling them you are paying CT elsewhere and are you entitled to any discount as a result.
Good luck - best thing you can do is price it very realistically to sell it - sounds like you've refurbed anyway.0 -
Can't you move in yourself? Save the rent where you are paying? What contract are you on? Granted if you sell fast you'll have to move again, but if money's that tight....0

Have you transferred the property to yourself already? I would have thought you would have done better to leave it in your mother's estate for just this reason? That's not an option really. I am the sole beneficiary of the property but a chunk is to go to my brother. We both need the money to be honest so we need to sell it.
As it was my Mum's I don't think I would be able to live there anyway.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
