Furious with Sky CS

I changed my phone and broadband to Sky yesterday, except I now find that I have no BB for at least the next week. My phone changed over yesterday morning from BT to Sky and I tried to log into my current BB isp (I kept an overlap period just in case) to find that it didn't work. I phoned them to find out why and was told that because I am no longer with BT my connection won't work. So I phone Sky to ask where my modem is as it should have been with me in time so that there was no interruption in my service. I was told that my phone line has to go live first, then it takes 7-10 days to get my BB up and running!! I told the CS manager that I was promised when I took SKY up on the deal that there would be no interruption in my service as I run a business from home, only to be told that running a business from my BB is against SKY's T&C, and there was nothing they could or would do. I told her that I mentioned running a business was a big part of why I was moving to Sky from Bthere as I had suffered lots of connection loss with them, and the sales adviser never mentioned that it was against any terms then. Still no joy, I was told that I could cancel the contract if I wanted and go back to my previous provider but on contacting BT I was told that it would take 11 business days to get me up and running again. So I am stuck, all for the sake of saving £60 a year I have potentually lost hundreds of pounds in custom, I am using my 3connect dongle at the moment but it has a cap of 3GB per month. Gone are the days of customer service, it's all about making the figures look good for the short term investers, and sod the customers, I knew I should have left well enough alone:(
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
