I have NO sympathy towards any antisocial behaviour that impacts on ordinary people.
I do not care why they work the streets only that they shouldn't do it in areas that drives people mad.

Prostitutes who work in residential areas are responsible for innocent women being harrased in the street as they go out, as well as the noise and dirty condoms and often drug paraphenalia they leave about.

No one should have to put up with noise and hassle from prostitutes.

No they aren't. The only people responsible for sexual harassment are the harassers.

While I don't think most sex workers would be too up in arms about the word 'prossy', its worth remembering that they are in fact human beings.
  • They're !!!!!s.

I feel sorry for the op.

You should sit at the window and pelt them with things until they move on.

I never said that I do not sympathise with the OP.

But it's hardly surprising that people who have taken a difficult route in life, by whatever means, find it extremely hard to integrate themselves back into 'civilised' community with such uncivilised misguided hate. Because from my understanding, it is only hate or some other equally degenerative feeling that makes it very difficult for those who try to pull themselves out of their personal rut.

Just when they make a little progress, they are often smacked down by those who equate themselves to being part of civilised communities. Might I suggest, that a change of attitude from those who are well placed to see the overall picture, might invite some more socially acceptable behaviour the other way.

Sometimes we only see it from a very blinkered view. If you still disagree, then hold your words of self-righteousness back for one second, get down your local volunteers centre and get involved. We'll see if you continue in the same vein after finding out that these people are just that, people.

But the "girls" outside the OP's house are NOT trying to "re-integrate" into the community are they? You try living with this problem and then see if you feel the same way - this is anti-social behaviour (regardless of the unfortunate circumstances of the prostitutes) and the OP has every right to want it stopped.

Just when they make a little progress, they are often smacked down by those who equate themselves to being part of civilised communities. Oh, for goodness sake, one can have sympathy for unfortunate individuals but the reality of living with the poblems caused can still be unbearable. Why the lecture anyway? It's not really relevant to the actual problem here is it?

OP - some good advice given regarding raising this at local community events - you shouldn't have to put up with the problem. You are not being unreasonable.

Good luck - I'd be interested to know how it ends.

Thank you for you replies !
I have reported this to my local council who then passed it on to the local police ....
who then sent me an email about what they are doing ... which is basically nothing of use ! They have these city guardians who are around until 9pm ... thats roughly when they start coming around. When I have called the police they take half an hour to get here ,by that time the girls do a runner only to come back when the coast is clear ...one night a girl was giving a man a blow job in front of myself and my daughter, when I told her to stop ,I was told to "f off! .
I am getting more and more Pd off.....I know that these women do it because they have drug habits, but when they leave used condome, defecate ,and have pimps and dealesr hanging around the place it makes me sick, why cant they go to a non residential are for Gods sake ?
One evening I asked a girl very politely if she could stop being so loud late at night, she has a go at me as if I was the one doing wrong.....
I am ringing the estate agents tom and telling them whats going on ,and about my neighbour bringing them into the building .......its a security risk as the last time she left the main door open ,which means anyone could have walked in !

What area are you in? You really need to go along to the local police meetings/home watch and state your case.

Always ring the police. It makes your life more stressful but each recorded call (ask for a log number) will help.

Keep a diary of everything including the calls you make to the police.

Having sex in a place likely to be overseen is against the law - so they really do have to act on this.

You really need to speak to your nice neighbours too.

Don't feel dishearted - it's horrid but you have to put some hard work in to get some action.

Your local councillor is worth a visit. Especially as election coming up. Plus MP! And if all else fails ring the local paper - sometimes the press getting involved speeds up the powers that be.

Also do you have a church locally? Sometimes they are willing to get involved in this sort of thing too.

    Please don't give up.
And keep coming back here to let us know what's gone on.
  • Put signs up saying CCTV in operation 24 hours a day. That should make their 'clients' nervous.
