Just had that letter this morning. I'm thinking we can cancel the contract in accordance with part 11.(a)(I) of the terms and conditions: You may end this Contract...during the minimum term by giving...one month's notice if: we...tell you we are going to change these conditions...and you reasonably consider that you have been disadvantaged by this...
Any thoughts anyone? I'm thinking they might say, OK, well why not just downgrade now while you still can without notice? To which I shall say, well that's not the point, I want all the channels I have now but in 3 months time I may change my mind...
I think I'll give them a call in a bit...0 -
Just got off the phone to them. I don't think the Indian woman really understood what I was getting at and ended up just saying, 'If you want to cancel you must write in, you cannot do it over the phone'.0

I've made a note in my calendar to give 31 days notice to cancel Sky Sports on 22nd April - for me the football season ends on 22nd May when the Championship play-off final and Champions League final take place.

Good job..
Expect to get it offered at half price for 3 months...:oNot Again0 -
my parents have had sky for 20 yrs and now we've all left home they want to reduce it down to just two entertainment/lifestyle channel packages. also they have a friends sky plus box but sky will charge them a £50 connection fee- for doing nothing except clicking a button.
Is it possible to negotiate a bigger reduction in monthly fees like you can with mobiles? the ol' i'm gonna leave you trick? maybe just to get the sky plus with no extra charge.0 -

If you have two separate feeds from the satellite dish, and your dish has an LNB with multiple outputs, you don't need to pay anyone - just call Sky and give them the box details so your viewing card can be paired to the Sky+. Go to the cancellations department if you want to try and get a special offer.
Re. Sky's updated t&cs - does anyone know where can you access them - have lost the letter they sent - can't see anything on the website?0 -
