Oh, and I couldnt see the detail of this on the website.
  • WARNING! CEX trade in value has dropped to £4 (cash) £6 (exchange).

It still appears as £12/£16 on the phone description page but as soon as I add one to my basket, the values change to £4/£6

Yeah I have just noticed that, after ordering my phone... typical haha! Maybe if you telephone cex and say it still has the original offer on the page they will honour it?

CEX have probably been flooded with these handsets lately and lowered the cash price for them. It is like the stock exchange :rotfl: - ah well, there is always eBay for those who bought the phones for the points. Not as good as the 1000 points offer though but I think this is a much nicer phone than the Nokia 1208

I'd register the sim to the phone first though to guarantee credit otherwise if you putthe sim in another phone you might not get the £10
CAN YOU REGISTER THE SIM AND USE THE £10 and then swap it to another phone or can you swap it before you use the credit after registering the sim? thanks Tricia

you have to register it to the phone provided after youve registered and you have got your £10 (usually takes about 48-72 hrs ) then you can change it over if you try before they can cancel your credit

thats what tesco and orange told me

Hi what I would like to do is buy the phone use the £10 Orange Sim and then put in an Asda sim (I am with Asda they use Vodaphone and get excellent service and its cheap)

anyone know if I could do that?

You would be be able to use the Asda SIM and any other network SIM (apart from 3) if the phone is unlocked. All the phones I have bought from Tesco have all been locked to a network so you would need to get the phone unlocked at a mobile phone repair shop or at your local market. A quick Google has not brought any free methods to unlock this phone yet.

The fact that this phone is only getting £4 at CEX and most likely locked is making it less attractive. But the plus side, is the free £10 Orange credit
