Can't believe people still don't "know" the rules!

Just read another thread on here where someone didn't know the rules and am saddened that those who are immersed in ebay selling seem to have forgetten that they had to learn all the rules themselves in the past.
Well I can only speak for myself but I don't mind users posting obvious questions (although forum search does go a long way, and seems to be rarely used. :p) as that is what this board is here for.
As you say, everyone had to learn sometime.

After much criticsm of this board and it's regulars started to appear on my radar I did change my attitude, especially if I'm the first poster on a newbies thread I try and be polite or at least helpful, and if I'm not up for both then I let someone else get it.

However what does provoke the flaming is when posters stick to their deluded views, try and back them up with insane logic, and scream abuse when someone doesn't share their views.

You only have to look at the pictures thread to see how some people will not listen to any reason, and how little respect for the rules there is.

At the end of the day, many of the problems we get in here have either resulted in account trouble or could do.
I figure it is better to have it spelt out plain and simple by a forum discussion that they can walk away from rather than by ebay and paypal who will cause all sorts of stress and hassle.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p
  • at least they ask the question and dont just say "no refund, sorry"
  • Slightly off topic, but what really gets me, is not the questions they ask, but their blatant refusal to listen to the replies :(
