I can't turn on the wireless capability, usually I press the function key and F1 but it doesn't work since the last time I ran Combofix and the computer switched off. Does the Combofix log look OK now?

Hmm not sure why that happened as the last run did not remove anything.

I have not had a proper look through - have you checked the device manager for any yellow asterisks?

I don't even know what a device manager is! I am female if that wasn't already painfully clear.

ETA: I have just found the device manager and there are no yellow asterisks, unless I have to click through into one of the sections? Is it maybe because we removed the hotkey apps? The Windows button appears to still work and the F1 button works on it's own and the function button works with another key??!!

How was it removed? Do you see a hotkeys icon in the control panel?

Hotkey was removed in posts 30 and 31. Found control panel but where about am I looking, just in the control panel main directory? Nothing hotkey-ish there.

I think it was with hijack this - Fire it up and you will see on the main menu, view list of back ups

In there you should see the list of removals can you see the hotkey removal?

Oh dear I still have two copies of Hijack This!! But yes I have found the two hotkeys we removed, do we want both back?

I restored the hotkeys and restarted the laptop. Then Vanquest wanted access to the machine, so I clicked allow as I thought it might be reinstalling something. But the Function F1 still doesn't work and I don't know what Vanquest was as nothing seemed to happen. How else can I turn on the wireless?
