Anyone got any experience of the above? Are their customer services good?

Also, on the Virgin PAYG 15p/5p a minute deal, can anyone advise how often you have to top up, as I can't find any mention of this anywhere.
Wins since 2009 = £17,600

MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS

Have been with Virgin for over a year and have found them to be excellent. ;D Their customer services are really helpful.

There is no minimum period of time between top-ups so is perfect if you don't use your mobile that often. Hope that helps.
  • I've had a Virgin PAYG for quite a while (it was free in The Sun!) and I've never had a problem with not topping up for several months at a time.

I've not had any need to contact Customer Services, so I can't comment on that.

Most of my close family also took up the card for free, so most of my calls and texts are to other Virgin users, which is very cheap (3p per text etc).

The only problem I've found is reception in my home not being too clever, so I'm considering using Vodafone PAYG, which has a far greater signal strength locally.
  • Virgin customer service are second to none in my opinion ;D
  • I joined their monthly payment scheme on DD and that is even better - same tarrif, no minimum payment, you just get charged for what you use, no matter how little it is. They are great.

You do need to use the phone at least every 180 days,to stop being disconected, but this call can be to the 789 auto number

I think Virgin PAYG customer service is the closest you can get to contract customer service.

I got some sims for other providers some of my families experience of new phones at christmas has made me decide to stay.
  • Both me and my wife have been with Virgin for about 5 years now and have no complaints at all with customer services. Every time we have needed to contact them the phone is answered promptly and courteously and the staff always seem to know what they are doing. Voicemail retrieval is free.

The only problems we have had is with the signal in certain areas. I cannot receive a signal at home unless I pop upstairs and hang out of a windowbiggrin.gif. This does have its compensations at times though!

Kids are on o2 which have been truly awful as far as customer service goes. I needed to change DD bank account last year and they totally messed it up. If I hadn't had access to the 0800 number it would have cost me a small fortune in contacting the totally incompetent customer services.

If you only use the phone infrequently and live in an area that has decent reception then Virgin are probably the best. (BTW they use the T mobile network)
