Any way, when my self and my wife got married we were students and did not have the income we have today. I was stuck in the lab completing my PhD and she was a trainee self employed barrister. We was in love and got married via a loan, so bloody what!?
Geez. You know education has been really dumbed down when someone apparently with a PhD uses "we was".I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair0 -
Why don't you go and see Barclays as you may have a Preapproved Mortgage Limit. They will still look at affordability but it helps.........
You will need to declare that you have been declined by HSBC.There are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you Peter De VriesDebt free by 40 (27/11/2016)0 -

Is that the best you got? you can not think of a good comeback so you resort to childish and petty mocking of a spelling mistake I made. So so sad!
Mocking other peoples spelling mistakes and grammar is the last sanctuary of a beaten man (or woman).
Also, the fact that you question that I have a PhD (in a pathetic very sly way) despite knowing nothing about me proves that you are what many call a "hater" - someone who for no good reason mocks and questions other peoples achievements for their own sad pathetic reasons. Haters should not be giving advise on forums like this! For the record, I don't go around telling people about my qualifications, I only mentioned it here as part of a rebuttal to one of your original !!!!!! assumption you made about me earlier and my finances.
No doubt, you will comeback with a lengthy more "intelligent" rebuttal now to make up for this but its to late. You had your shot and you have revealed your true intellectual capabilities. The damage is done! The only thing your capable of is petty mocking of spelling mistakes and !!!!!! incorrect assumptions about people you know nothing about. End of story!0 -
Dark Jester, I hope things work out for you. Don't know why there have been so many rude responses; some people just don't have anything better to do with their time, I guess!marlasinger0

Thank you.
I have no idea why some people felt the need to be rude. If people dont like or agree with what i believe in then fair enough, please feel free to express your opinion in a mature and contructive way. However, resorting to petty insults and judgemental comments about my personal life without knowing anything about me or my situation is unnecessary.
Also, am i going mad or have some posts been deleted!? oh well, may be its a good thing. :j0 -

But you came back!!! The best advice you can get in this world is the blunt to the point advice, it saves time, also it is up to you whether you want to take it.
I think you have and are now probably looking to remove some of your debt.0 -
£12k to get married OMG and I'm assuming after a year of paying this off so it was even more plus savings. The cost of that wedding will bite, greatest day of your life yeah right, for years of misery and paying back and mortgage refusal and I think we can see that now.
Can I ask what was the point of this comment you made? Is this the "blunt to the point advice" you speak of? I appreciate the debt advise you gave after but I dont see why you had to start of your advise with such a rude and hurtfull paragraph.
Yes it was the greatest day of my life and I dont regret it. Years of misery? do you mean, personal or financial misery? On both counts, I doubt it! I'm a consultant for a large Biotech and my wife is a barrister, we will earn money and if we did lose our jobs we are skilled and qualified enough to get another. To be honest, neither of us have experienced any difficulties in paying back any of our loans, we still managed to enjoy life. I guess the only negative thing to happen to us is the mortgage rejection, but despite what some of the "experts" here claimed I have managed to get them (ie underwriters) to review it again and also give us feedback. Even then, if we get rejected again, we willl keep plugging away, earning money and paying of our debts and eventually have another go.
In future, please try not to judge and post rude cheap digs like that again. You know nothing about me or my circumstances. Your attempts to mock me only lowers your self.0 -
