However when I click on 'Run as administrator' it just opens up my homepage.anyone any ideas why?

It says;
Windows Activation- 30days to activate.
So im guessing it worked.

Grrrrrr, atleast I thought it had worked. Just got a pop up to say the windows 7 pre-release will expire in 6 hours.

The Release Candidate would have been activated shortly after you installed it; the advice given above only applies if you install the operating system without entering a valid activation key. Your copy will still be forced to shut down regularly for the next few months, at which point it will expire proper irregardless of its WAT status.0
