Divx/Mp4 enclosures - player

Has anyone used Divx - MP4 enclosures such as this:

They seem to be similar to normal hard disk ones, with some additional controls to make the HD connect to a TV and output a signal to reproduce divx (or MP3 etc) directly.
has anyone tested one of these?
What is the quality like? Will you get the same quality as the original divx? Any suggestions on where to buy one besides ebay?

I am just researching one of these myself and would be interested in your experiences with these type of enclosures. Or anyone else's for that matter.
