kaspersky internet security

hi all.

i managed to download kaspesrky internet security 2010 trial whilst waiting for barclays to send me the code. can someone please tell me if this includes antivirus.. cos i tried downloading the antivirus but it wudnt let me. now, i dont know if what im doing is right. thanks..

Internet security as stated above contains anti virus, firewall etc...

I would stick to a free Anti-Virus package such as Avast, AVG or Comodo.

I recommend Comodo as it offers Firewall and Anti-Virus all in one. However for ultimate protection then I would install Avast and Comodo Firewall seperately so that "all your eggs are not in the same basket".

Kasperski is good, until Barclays decide to stop offering it then you will have to pay or you move your bank account to a better one...

I used to have all sorts of trouble with my PC and tried several anti-virus packages, but after advice from this forum I've had KIS 2010 (same as yours) for almost 1 year and My PC has been trouble free. Kaspersky is rated amongst the best on here and if you google it, it is always amongst the top few.

ive got account with barclays and i didnt know they offer this until i read it thru here. so im gonna try it for the meantime and see how it goes since its for free.

JFYI, where something appears in the search results is no indication of how good it is. All it means is that the site concerned has good SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) keywords which is what the search engine bots look at when deciding what position to place stuff in the search results.

Kaspersky is top notch, I run it on 6 different machines, all without any problems,

Runs on XP, Vista and 7.

At renewal time in Oct 2009, I managed to get the new 2010 version for only £19 for a 3 system 1 year licence (from Amazon, not Kaspersky renewal) which is money very well spent in my opinion.

now, i can rest my mind thinking that i do not need a separate anti virus. its always hell for me with computers as i do not know anything about it apart sending email from my mailbox and accessing mse, even, im still trying to figure out how to post and paste! i dont even know how i manage to have mozilla instead of internet explorer! I know im bad! :eek:

To go into this a bit deeper, I meant results in many anti-virus tables where they test up to 30 or 40 most common anti-virus packages on the market ie. Norton, Mcafee ,etc. Kaspersky may not always be the top but it's usually up there amongst them. I'm sure many forum members more qualified than me will back me up on this.

just to update u guys, i manage to download the 30 day free trial whilst im waiting for barclays to send me a code in order to use the whole year one... now the question is, do i need to wait to finish the 30 day trial b4 using the whole year one?
