Not helpful at all, we all have accidents, even you.
particularly in that your post should read 'maybe this will teach you'
OP as long as you are okay, the damage is secondary, its only metal.
not flesh and blood.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

6 year old BM maybe 8 to 9k value, airbags are not cheap nor suspension if the chassis is ok it may be repairable if you are lucky. Any other damage to the car?0 -

:rotfl: And the prize for most helpful post goes to.......
Seriously, you don't know the full details, if you can't say anything constructive don't bother.
As others have said, its suprisingly easy to write off a car in the eyes of insurance companies these days, if something structurally vital is damaged (even if its not obvious) then its game over.0 -
The biggest issue with airbags being deplyed is that the dash is destroyed.
Fortunately now most manufacturers split the dash into3 sections so that there is no major damage when the passenger one goes orf;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

Airbags, wheels, steering arms suspension struts and even chassis straightening can be replaced or realighned in the case of the chassis. All these are "critical points/components", and do not automatically write off a car.
True, but unlikely to be fixed on a 6 year old car0
