Quick update for my fellow Marchees.

Hubby and I both had our OR telephone interview on 20 April, we were on the phone for about an hour and half to 2 hours in all. So average time really, but then I do like to waffle and ask questions!

Its all gone quiet now. Had letters asking us if we are interested in the BI in our house - we said no. And also had letters saying the OR not interested in our cars - old rust buckets they are but they still go!

The only hassle we are getting is from HSBC, with whom we have our mortgage. We plan to hand our keys back asap - but need to get moved out of here first. We get keys to a rented house on Saturday!!!

So hopefully the next 9 months, 2 weeks and 4 days will slide past quietly and with no major problems!

I hope BR is proving as stress-less for the other Marchees. The worst part for me is the stigma attached to BR, the way other people look at you once to tell them you are BR. We are not criminals - yes we have made some duff choices over the last 20 years, but we aren't bad people. We just want to move on and learn from this.

Hi Dojoman, I did it as above, and you and the site have already helped me a great deal; I posted a thread about being BR and unemployed last week and I have had some excellent advice, information and thoughts etc; I feel some of the most re assuring support comes from those that are going through or have been through it, which is what makes this site fantastic; especially as I paid £200 for advice prior to going BR and to be honest it didn't tell me anymore than I already kjnew from my own research!! Please add me to this thread cheers
  • Just posted back my IPOQ which came with the possibility of early discharge letter - so fingers crossed.
Can't believe it's been 4 months already, business is picking up a bit which I think is because I can focus on working now rather than be unable to do anything because of the worry of debt.

Us too, we got an ED letter on 30/07/2010, fingers crossed we get it. I just wonder how long it takes. I read that it was four months before another poster got it.

    :T

Could others who have had ED let us know how long it can take?

    Thanks

It depends on how busy the OR`s office is. My wife received her ED just over 4 months after sending her ED letter back.
