Hi and good luck with tomorrow, the Judge thing isn't as bad as you think it is. Like ifwisheswerehorses states, take deep breaths, you'll come through it. Remember, 'officialdom' are Human Beings just like us and they've seen it all, the good, bad and indifferent so you'll be fine. Please let us know how you get on and try and get a good-nights sleep.

Well, I went BR at 2.58.
The clerk looked thru the papers while I waited and told me to wait in the waiting room until he came back. 15 minutes later, he took me in to see the Judge. I wouldn't say it was a pleasant experience, 'I'm not here to judge' he exlaimed, but he's a Judge; well, you know what I mean. Did I realise the implications etc ? .. yes and I took advice off CCCS .. 'that was the next question I was going to ask', he replied with that 'headmaster face'.
He then explained that the nearest OR was 150 miles away and would have to be in touch by phone and to wait in the waiting room while the Clerk got in touch.
Waited an hour then the Clerk took me into an office to speak on the phone to a women who was as nice as anything and said I could keep a Bank account which was a huge relief and gave her the details and they will send a 'Bankruptcy Pack' with forms I have to fill in and return and arrange a telephone interview. Then I was issued with the Certificate and left. Don't feel debt free, feel numb. Afterwards, wandered around the supermarket in a daze. Anyway, that's that over with.
Thanks to everybody for their help and support, it is most appreciated and apologies if this post is a bit long winded but I needed to get it out of my system if you know what I mean.
Think I'll stay around here for a wee while and see if I can help other people here.

Hi Hun, I did`nt realise it was today....well done for getting through to the `other side`....:beer: Nice to see that will stick around to help other`s that are still going through their journey. Let us know when the OR interview is.

Sorry not around as much as usual...real life seems to be using up all my brainpower just now.

  • Had a call from my OR yesterday and have to go for interview in a couple of weeks.
Also needed to confirm that using the cashminder is OK (i'm SE so for clients that pay by cheque) and was told no way :( - have to get new account set up _pale_
Overslept cos waken by storm, feeling crappy and feel like just jacking in my business till this is all sorted out, cos it just doesn't seem worth the stress.

Oh! lbm, don't be down!! Your doing so well, I don't understand why the cashminder account can't be used? Listen we all have crappy days, you have gone through such a lot!! Now I want you approach this like you did your bankruptcy....one step at a time, don't rush don't do anything rash and anything your unsure of you ask away.

Thanks to everyone here. Not posted before but there is much support to be had. For me the build up to the day was the biggest event. Very little happened on the day, no judge to see, had my forms checked, came back that afternoon and was handed my BR no. Huge weight off the shoulders, looking to move forward now.
