Is this better than the Talk Talk deal who are offering the same free evening and weekend calls?
  • Personally I would be wary about the High, Medium and Low user bit? What happens if you sign as a Medium user but they decide you are a High user?

Also I would suggest that as TalkTalk have been running some sort of deal since August that they are trying to counteract TalkTalk with a similar offer.

The medium user is just the name of the tariff same as BT option 2 or Talk Talk 2. It's better than Talk Talk's deal as you are not restricted to the 70 mins per call, Tele2's free calls are unlimited so no need to hang up and redial. However you don't get free calls to other Tele2 users at any time as you do with Talk Talk.

.....also with Tele2 (apart from what has already been mentioned) their tarriffs are marginally lower than TalkTalk's....although somewhat irrelevant if you are also using 18866 and 1899 for landline daytime calls and calls to mobiles respectively. The main exception, if phoning a Vodafone number in the evening, is not to use 1899 (10p/min + 3p connection) but to use Tele2 at 5.91/min compared to TalkTalk at 6.0p/min.

Tele2 is also crediting £10 to new accounts in January - although this might take quite a long time to use if on free 12 month tarriff and only using it to make free evening and w/end calls!!
