Have got my friends old telephone. We were both on O2 but she was O2 contract and I am O2 payg. I cannot access the internet on the phone nor download my multi media messages. I have been told that the IP Address I have on the phone is for O2 Contract and I need the IP Settings and Port Number for O2 PAYG. Does anyone have it or where would I get it. Cant get to O2 shop into town till next week and have some messages I want to access. Also, is that all I need to do - just change the IP Settings and Port No? thanks.

Thanks for these codes but I still cant do it. I have gone into O2 WAP GPRS where I find OS WAP GPRS, Home URL, Proxy?, IP Address, Port, DNS?. Then on advanced settings there is APN, Log in ID, Password. I have entered what I can see but I dont know what to do with Proxy and DNS and even though I save it I still get the error message - service not available.0

I have received the message to my fone and just saved it but its not working and I still cant access the internet on the fone nor view my multi media message - just saves retrieve fails. Do I still have to set it up using the info they sent or does the 'message' do it automatically. Sorry Im only good at texting - not the technical part. thx.0

should set it up automatically, you may need to ring ccustomer services and get the to check that the sim is enabled for gprsEx forum ambassador
