Don't be so sure. I had an ex-work colleague who had many (unsuccessful) rounds of IVF treatment and the number of physical exams, blood tests on a daily basis and medication was mind-bending. She came to work one morning with a carrier-bag full of drugs and told me the cost was over £2,000. That was just the first round. They went on until all of their savings were completely exhausted and I suspect all of her eggs had been harvested. Not available on the NHS because she was too "old" at 380
