I said no to both of these and was offered a further 2months free unlimited usage when my contract finishes with no commitment to renew. This should appear on my3 in writing apparently.

  • I took a phone on '3' contract and they offered mobile broadband, the 12 months contract expired a week ago, I called then and they extended the contract for another 24 months, now I want to cancel it cose I'll get Home Broadband, will I have any problems to cancel the 24 months contract ? Thanks.

My 18 month contract (15Gb - £15 per month) expires next month. I called Three to find out what my options are. The current price for this contract is £30 per month.

I was offered a further 18 months at the same £15 for the same 15Gb, with a new, upgraded dongle (supposedly faster ) chucked in for good measure.

    I was happy to accept.

WARNING TO THREE MOBILE BROADBAND CONTRACT CUSTOMERS .
Three's tariff is 10p/Mb if you go over your monthly data allowance. That's £100 per Gb for goodness sake! That's partly why I chose such a high monthly data allowance.
  • 3 will put a block on usage so you dont go over, it was for free earlier this year but just phone up and ask and they will put block so you do not inavertently go over allowance. And please make sure you have cancelled contract 30 days before or like me you will end up paying extra month at full rate
  • ask 3 they will put block on so you cannot go over your allowance(free service and peace of mind). make sure you call to cancel contract 30 days before it ends or like me you will end up paying an extra month. but great internet service, faster than own broadband with vmedia

I've read too many horror stories of people getting stung for going over their limits - I agree call your provider and get a block if you are on a contract.
