PAYG Iphone? How long do top ups last? Best place to get one?

If I get a PAYG Iphone with £50 credit, how long does this last please? Is it until it runs out or is it one month? If aps are downloaded onto it, does the cost come out of this calling credit or do I have to buy them from elsewhere.

Thanks. I have no idea how these things work but hubby wants one so thought I would get him one for his birthday but he has no need for a contract and the Orange website does not say how long the top up's last.

What is the best deal for PAYG Iphones?

Thanks.

I presume you are looking at Orange iPhone PAYG?

On Orange, the topup doesn't expire, so your £50 credit will last as long as it takes to use up £50 of credit on calls, texts, etc?

Not sure what Orange's deal is with internet access? I have the O2 PAYG iPhone and that comes with 12 months of free internet access included in the purchase price of the phone.

Apps are purchased from the Apple Appstore on iTunes. You can set a credit/debit card up with iTunes or buy an iTunes prepaid card in a shop.
  • Thanks for the info on that.

Yes, I looked at the Orange one, it says it comes with *250MB mobile internet browsing per month and unlimited Wi-Fi for 12 months (*Separate Fair Usage policies of 750MB / Month apply to both) on all of the phones you buy.

The £50 top up gives £10 off an iphone, free music and 1000 texts free month (and £50 worth of calls). TBH I doubt he will use this if he has to buy the aps seperately as this is all he wants it for I am sure.

Because I've also been on contract I've no idea how it all works and which one is the best deal.

Might be better that I get the phone and a £10 top up and then everyone else can buy him pre-paid Itunes cards for his birthday and then he can get the aps with those.

He has a works phone and gets free calls and texts on that.
