You can wash any non-absorbant areas with sugar soap - available at any DIY store, and as for the internal areas a dusting of bicarbonate of soda left overnight and hoovered off the next day might help.

Even leave a couple of dishes loaded with it inside for as long as it takes.

I was going to suggest putting the piano in a bin liner or even in a wheely bin liner if its a large one with some bowls of bi carb placed inside.

someone wanted to know how to revove smoke form books and placing paper between the pages and wrapping the book up in newspaper might work.Maybe you could try doing that with your piano, wrap it up in newpaper to see if it will absorb the odour.

Won;t sugar soap scratch the surface?

And it doesn;t have an inside - it's a digital not an acoustic, like a big keyboard on a stand.

BUt I could still dust it with bicard perhaps.

Hang on... nope... no scratches on a plastic thingy.

I'd bought a pre mixed bottle because it was the smallest quantity I could buy, and I've just tried rubbing it between my fingers too and there's nothing detectably gritty in there.

As a temporary measure I sprayed it with perfume to try and help me sleep.

    Mistake!

My room now smells like a nightclub the morning after the night before!!

Loving this board have so many good ideas, thought I'd put a question to you.

I have seen a new product in tesco designed to get the smell of smoke out of your car but I'm sure the OS board have a better cheaper way ;)

hehe as a non smoker I'd say 'don't do it in the first place'

Smoking at the wheel is like using a mobile phone imho - it's taking your mind off the road especially when the hot bit falls in your lap!
