o2 Friends & Family Code
I recently gave a code to my friend which entitles her to a £75 credit on a new contract. She chose an iphone but unfortunately I couldn't come with her to give my employment details. The store says its fine and the credit can be applied later.
We've just made it into store to now be told it can only be applied up to 14 days after application. She was definately not told this, she did question at the time if it could be applied retrospectively and she was assured it really wasn't a problem.
I feel awful that she can't get the discount as it had convinced her to transfer to o2 as it made the deal the best.
Do you know if I have any recourse and how I would complain to O2? We've had a wasted trip to the store, feel completely mislead, the situation could have easily been remedied had we known the limitation, she would have either waited for the phone or I would have made every effort to get to the store within the 14 days! Also, I now can't use that code and get a very limited number to give away.

well, you could try ringing o2 directly and see what they said? otherwise complain to the manager in the store that you were not told this, and had she have been told this she wouldnt have taken out the contract then, and see what they say.
you could re-use the code as it has not actually been used.0
