Texting to landline

Hello,

I would like to know a couple of questions, and hopefully someone can enlighten me with their knowledge.

1) How much does it cost to text a landline number from a mobile phone.

2) Does it cost the landline to receive these texts from a mobile device. BT usually has an automated voice which reads out texts sent to landlines.

It costs the same to text a landline as it does a mobile and doesn't cost anything to receive the message.
