not only is it rustic, its traditional

when i do it, i take it out, and yes mines is sticky too
i liberlly flour the worksurface, knead it out for a few mins, leave to rest
and when i come to make my pizza bases, i press it out using the heal of my hand rather than rolling it
thats they way i was always shown how to do it
    and again, lots of flour

Thanks for your answers I found it quite sticky so should I add more flour to the recipe or put it on the dough ?

If it's really sticky then try adding a bit more flour to the recipe, or use slightly less water - I found I needed to do this for the recipe which came with my BM as making it with the quantities suggested means I end up with more dough stuck to my hands than on the baking tray. ;)

If it's only a bit sticky then just throw a couple of handfuls of flour on to the dough when rolling / pressing it out, to make it a bit easier to handle. And I'd definitely second (third?) the rustic look - I always think that if I wanted a perfect-looking pizza I'd buy one! :D

    Hi Viv:hello:

I've added your thread to the existing one on pizza dough in a breadmaker, so you can see how others do it :)

There is also the complete pizza collection with links to other threads!:j

It should get better with practice, and congrats on your pizza!
