I have had mixed results with playing with vouchers (my tesco is no fun
) so I think I will play MBG/TMF for a while.
Wish me luck
This is good fun - not moneysaving in a huge way but it's nice to get a few freebies here and there. :T
Found some Tizer yesterday at Tesco but no promotional packs of Tango.0 -

Not too sure if the Boots vitamins will still be on TMF. I did mine, which was quite a few months ago. It was only a tiny box.0

Sorry, how do you mean you've made £8 in profit? I'm assuming you don't mean the actual total value of the TMFs, so is it stuff like using MOCs for a product but getting full refund back, or something else?
Just curious.0 -

Same here. I'm a tad confused too. I'm thinking the poster meant that they might have spent £2 on a product, got £2 back for trying it free, but did not make a profit as such. However, they would have tried the product for free, which in my eyes is a bonus. *** Sometimes companies give a few pence more than the actual price, and I think these extra pennies will have totalled the £8. *** Just a little glitch, if you can get TMF's at Boots or at Tesco's, you can collect points on these, which in turn works out as a bonus. I tried the Imedeen one (which was absolutely horrendous as my face is still covered with spots since using this bulli$h product), and used my Boots Advantage Card and some coupons, which gave me like 1500 extra points, which works out at £15 to spend at Boots. In the end, I got the full money back from Imedeen, and I also got the £15 worth of points from Boots. Again, with the Tango/Tizer promotions. If you get vouchers through the post from Tesco or till spits and they say EXTRA POINTS when you buy carbonated drinks, this always works out as a bonus too.0 -
it's very possible to make a bit of profit or at least cover your costs (some TMF's don't pay postage).
I have made the profit in one of two ways.
The Major way is to use coupons to pay for part of the shopping, my local asda will take 10% so i always buy the TMF item with a few other items so not to make it obvious that i got the TMF item at a discounted price.
The minor way is that a few months ago there was a thread about checking the service of royal mail and they would pay you stamps. I applied to join and was originally accepted and then i was told i was not needed in my area but i could keep the stamps. I then used these stamps to pay for the postage on TMF's which in turn i recieved back when the companies returned the postage.
I don't even keep track of the other ways that you can cover costs such as cashback credit cards and recieving the money back before you have to pay the shopping/credit card bill off.My Motto in Life:

Thanks for the explanations, max and mimi, that was the sort of thing I thought you meant.
I do all that stuff as well, using MOCs in Tesco/Asda, points in Tesco/Boots, plus free stamps from the Royal Mail survey (who I'm luckily still with). :T Great minds and all that :beer:0 -
Thanks dormouse, i can only look up to your example in relation to TMF's i am sure you have done a lot more than me. I have to say that this year is looking like a good year for TMF's especially after the quiet spell in may.My Motto in Life:
