Email to SMS, cannot get it working help please

Hi I am keen to get emails sent as a SMS to my mobile, can anyone help, I have tried all combinations. My mobile is with T Mobile.
I know this is possible as you can find loads on the web about it.
The reason I want it is because I am doing a job where I monitor currencies and I need to know when certain figures are hit. Before you suggest it I cannot get anyone to help with this where I am.
As far as I know you put your mobile number in front of the Mobile networks bit ie **********@t-mobile.uk.net
The program I use will send the information to a mobile but it gets complicated if we get into the program so to keep it simple all I need to achieve is to get an email to be sent to my phone as an smsl, but something is stopping it and I am wondering if it is T Mobile themselves not allowing this sort of message now.
The program I use will only send the information as an SMS but via an email account so this is why I cant just use email on my phone.
Hope somebody understands what I am on about and can help.
Any help appreciated.

sorry don't know the answer on this one but sort of stating the obvious on this one if its that important why don't you just phone them up and ask if they do block this type of communication as i would be suprised if anyone here would really know.
