I think I may have found an alternative use for forceps if my Mum had turned up at the hospital while I was giving birth. :rotfl:

it's not far, so i'd say go....

She has said before that she thinks it's weird to take your Mum with you. I think it is entirely up to the individual to decide and if that's what someone wants it's nice. I must say I would have hated to have my Mum with me!

but you don't have to be in the room while she's giving birth, but be there for after...

I've got loads of fresh meat here but not much else that will go with it

It might be worth getting a bag when you next go shopping, as you can then put it with your meatballs, chili/sag bol etc!
