I am trying to decide between the two of these cars, Hyundai I 30 or Kia Ceed.
Both are close together in price on the scrappage scheme and both have good warranties.
Any experience of either car would be appreciated?
Thanks.

I'd go for the Kia mainly due to the 7 yr warranty rather than 5 yrs offered by Hyundai.0

I`d go for the Hyundai, looks much better than the Kia0

I'd go by the better warranty or who is closest to you.
We've gota Rio that is 6 years old now and only had to have normal work done (a wheel bearing and a couple of suspension bushes replaced at the last service*), but apart from that it's been very reliable
*I suspect the result of the local potholes and my dad loading it up with wood etc0 -
They are effectively the same car, made in the same factory, go with whoever gives the best deal, spec for spec.0

IMO the facelifted i30 is better looking, but the ceed has a 7 year warranty, so I would play hard betwen your local dealers for the best deal unless you intend to keep it for more that 5years in which case it must be the ceed.0

I think the Kia is far better looking than the Hyundai, the Hyundai looks like a bland photocopy of a Focus. Sit in both of them, drive both of them, see if the dealers will haggle, and go for the best deal. If everything comes up even, go for the Kia with the longer warranty, resale values are probably similar for both.0

kia, definately would be my choice anyway.
the warantee is brilliant! 7 years is probably longer than you plan to own it, possible, so you would be covered for the duration of your ownership, which is good in my books.
ive heard good things about both cars though, and if as has been said above they are the same car, then id go with the one you like best really, but thinking with logic rather that desire id say kia ceed.0 -
Avoid the hyundai if you arent prepared to wait a few months for delivery.
I ordered my i!0 on the 5th Dec and all they can tell me is that its on a boat arriving sometime in the next couple of weeks!0 -

That is an i10, not an i30.0
