I've also ordered a 4gb ipod nano but am yet to receive the said item so will wait and see. Just to raise a couple of points, i thought it was common practice to give last 3 on rear of credit card, or am i wrong? Also my understanding of consumer law is that if you purchase by a credit card , you are covered and should any thing untoward take place you deal with the credit card company direct, obviously criminal offences will be dealt with via police who you sign the relevant paperwork for them to speak with the credit card company. I shall wait and see on this one, but i'm now showing my age, i remember years ago when there was a big scam selling commodore 64's cheap, they never arrived and i thought it was amusing when my uncles cheque was returned with the words " gone away " written on it. I hope i'm not tempting fate.

It is when you actually buy something - but this site wanted it just to let you register!!!
You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.
  • FWIW, they are 'awaiting stock' of the item. No money has been taken from my card and i've kept a good eye on it...

It's not looking as bad as we thought. There could be some hope there. Althought, I suppose, poeple will correct me by saying that it means nothing and they still have your CC details. Why change the stock levels?

My daughters birthday has been and gone so I am pretty pleased that I didnt order via this site.

I ended up getting a 30gig video (£179) via Ebuyer for her, it came the next day and all is well.

Just had a look in my London A-Z, no Singleton Avenue in there. There is a Singleton Cl. Singleton Rd. & Singleton Scarp none of which are in East London as the postcode E12 8GH would suggest. Definately sounds dodgy to me!

My husb and I have actually ordered 2 of these, unfortunately was before I spotted this spread. Stupid not to research it properly I suppose. Anyway, after reading this forum I have emailed to try to cancel order but no reply. Have also rung them about a dozen times with no reply. Nothing taken off the credit card yet though.

It does say on the site though that if you return them unused they will give a full refund. Which is what I will be doing if they do turn up as I'm not going to risk them breaking. Is frustrating not knowing what is going on, if they're going to turn up or not. Has anyone else managed to contact them or recieved their ipod?
  • This may or may not put some people's minds at rest but I received my 4gb black nano from these guys today by royal mail along with a couple of Sandisk SD cards I ordered as well.

Was a bit of a wait to receive it but for the price it was ok and I was is no hurry. ;) I spoke to a customer services guy on the phone number (after I finally got through!) after I read posts on here and he was cool enough, said they had limited stock due to the amount of orders but more was coming in, guess it came in :)

They seem like a pretty new company so maybe they're trying to get some market share with good prices early on and hike them up later, either way the prices on some of the items are very good, hope they don't start putting them up as I'll be buying more stuff when Christmas comes round.

    Cheers!

PS. Any one know if Sony Bravia's are any good? If so, anyone know of a good deal on them anywhere?
