Problem managing Orange iPhone account with app

This is an odd problem, and might seem trivial to some, but it's driving me mad so I'm hoping that someone out there can help! :)

I've just bought an iPhone on Orange PAYG and would like to manage my account online, as I did for my previous (Orange) phone.

So, I logged into my existing Orange online account with my old phone number (I didn't keep the old number), and saw an option to set up a new account, so that's what I did. I put in my new phone details and voila - my iPhone account can now be managed online. Hooray!

But...I also want to manage my account directly on my iPhone using the 'Your Orange' app. But in order to log into the iPhone app, I have to put my account details, which is my old number and password. So the app then gives me the account details for my old phone, NOT the iPhone.

I tried setting up a new online account, but because I've already registered the new account with the existing login, it says the number is already being managed online.

I've tried all the options I can find, both in the app and online, and I'm baffled (even googling for a solution didn't help). I know it's a long shot, but if anyone out there can help me, I'd be very grateful! :)

I would just manage the account using the normal browser. What does the "app" give you that the browser won't?
  • Sometimes it will be very useful to manage the account using the app, especially to check I don't exceed my usage allowance.

    SonOfPearl,

Have you tried calling the support line (In Your Orange, go into Orange Help, contacting Orange, need to get in touch with us, call: tech support) to see if they can swap the numbers around (or reset the account) - might be worth a try?

For Pay as you go, currently it only shows your balance (I believe there will be more here soon) but I agree, it's very handy for keeping track of your usage.

Hope this helps and you get sorted...

    Cheers,

    David
