I would say this is very doubtful. Might be an idea to check your maths once again.
Yes I did the maths again. I got hubby ('A' level maths) to do them. I rang Uswitch and asked them to explain. The answer came out the same - we would pay more. I did it on kwh (not units) checked the usage before discounts kicked in, checked the standing charges (none on both). Still came out the same. Only trying to warn people. We could have been conned.0 -

People keep coming here saying the comparison sites are wrong. Almost always this turns out to not be so.0 -
I have just trawled through the energy switch websites and they all assure me they can save me around £400 a year. But on looking closer at the cost per unit, all are higher than we currently pay. The top pick - Eon - charges more than DOUBLE what we are paying yet the switch sites assure me we will save. I rang USwitch in case I had misunderstood the deal but the guy couldn't explain it either! He just said the computer had worked it out and it must be right. I've done the maths and I won't be switching.
Anyone got their fingers burnt switching?
Dear Sir/Madam,
My apologies that you didn’t get the answer you required when contacting uSwitch regarding the E.ON plan you were looking at. The E.ON FixOnline 6 plan does indeed have the high unit rates you mention, however – if you click on the plan name you’ll see the discounts – and they are huge compared to other plans, on average 25% of the total bill.
I can only assume that the person you spoke to was a new member of staff, as we have a few in training at the moment. Again, I apologise they were unable to give the required information – and we will be double checking their understanding of these plans.
Should you wish to speak to us for a better explanation, please feel free to contact us direct on 0800 404 7961.
Kind regards,

Here in Scotland we get 24.6% discount from Eon on FixOnline6:cool:

Do you mean:
DF 2% + DD 6% + OD 16.6% = Total Discount 24.6%?
Or
DF 2% + DD 6% + OD 24.6% = Total Discount 32.6%?
32.6% Discount, that would be heaven :A0 -
So basically speaking EON looks pretty good then ? I asked this house agent what plan they were on and she had no idea ad I asjed if I could sign u to that saver 6 plan and she ad no idea but said I have to wait for a number to quote so they deduct the bill until the date which I moved in so do YOU have any idea?Do you mean:
DF 2% + DD 6% + OD 16.6% = Total Discount 24.6%?
Or
DF 2% + DD 6% + OD 24.6% = Total Discount 32.6%?
