    Thanks for the update robins66. I finally received a letter back from bmi baby (following another fax from me) saying that I was not entitled to compensation as it they informed me of the change more than 2 weeks before the flight was due to leave. I didn't even ask for compensation, just wanted the re-route! I have written to them again stating this, but in the meantime saw some flights with Jet2 at a fairly reasonable cost (but still over a £100 more than I originally paid) I dont want to leave it any longer so have booked those.

    I have sent all the information to the AUC however - I haven't heard back yet as I think they are very busy with all the volcano stuff but will continue down that route as well.

    BMIbaby told AUC they were waiting for me to respond to their letter. I did! I tried repeatedly. It cost £20 in phone calls.
    I wrote to BMIbaby giving them 10 days. I told them i was in the process of preparing court action against BMIbaby and their CEO.
    I received a response within the 10 days asking for the booking confirmation for the re-arranged flights.
    This week I received a refund for the additional flight costs.
    So now i'm happy!
