Cheap mobile internet

I pay for unlimited internet access on my daughters mobile phone. I bought her a laptop for xmas for her studies away from home. Is there any way I can link the two or what is the cheapest pay as you go internet device as |I am loathed to get locked into monthly bills.

This is possible.
Connect laptop to phone using blue-tooth or a USB cable. This is called "tethering"
Technically you not supposed to use phone internet access for computer access. Just don't use it for heavy downloads and you should be ok.
A google search of the phone model and "tether" should find you instructions.
There are PAYG deals on all the mobile networks of not - Go with which ever gives the strongest signal wherever she is staying.0
