Nokia 6131 Question

I've just sold my unwanted upgrade. The buyer has contacted me asking if I can do anything as when he plays the radio and battery is fully charged, the phone is dead after half an hour. I googled and found a lot of negative remarks about the battery life on this phone, particulary when playing music. As he only had the phone yesterday, i have advised him to fully discharge it, then charge it up minimum overnight and do not switch it on and fiddle with it whilst it is being charged - i suspect it's just not charged enough. Does anyone here have a Nokia 6131 who can advise me on how long initial charge should be and if above is the norm. thanks in advance.

they usually say about 12 hours for first chage (even after it says charged) but with the newer generation of batteries i dont think it really matters any more0
